What E6 Means
E6 means the unit tried to start a fill cycle but no water actually flowed in, halting production.
Common Causes of E6
- Water supply valve is closed or restricted
- Water inlet valve inside the unit has failed
- Inlet line or filter is clogged
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Check that the water supply valve to the unit is fully open before assuming an internal problem.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Accessing the internal water inlet valve means working around live water connections, which is technician work.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
